About Viola
Viola Vainglory is a burlesque producer, performer and emcee who’s been taking it off for audiences since 2011. A lifelong performer, Viola excels at audience connection, engagement and character embodiment (that degree in theatre certainly helps). In 2019, she escaped her day job to become a performer (mostly) full-time, and she’s on-stage at least once a week these days.
For pedigree, she’s danced on most any stage that allows burlesque in Nashville, including Delinquent Debutantes, Brewlesque, Dirty Nerdy Burlesque and many more. She’s a veteran of the live-band burlesque revue at Skull’s Rainbow Room (voted one of the best places to see burlesque in the world by Lonely Planet), where she performed and emceed regularly. And she’s traveled across the country performing, teaching and most recently producing.
Today, she produces the weekly show Burlesk at Sid Gold’s Request Room in Nashville. She’s a co-producer alongside Yaya Wonderland for Forbidden Fruits at Diskin Cider, and she co-produced Senectitude Burlesque with Gogo Incognito and founder Kisa Von Teasa.
